Yesterday a partner scheduled a call with me. It started out as one topic but quickly zeroed into being about How Do I Get More Sales. Like me, he is a solopreneur. Like me, he is seeing some accounts drift away. He was looking for a Magic Bullet. There isn’t one.
I gave him some simple ideas:
Talk to your current customers. How can they use the UCaaS system more/better to prevent churn and to improve productively?
What other problems are they facing? What can you assist with?
Talk to any of your Lead sources, even ones that you have not talked to in years. Re-connect. Find out how to give them leads – What would make a good lead for them? – and remind them that you are still looking for leads. (What would make a good lead for you?)
Everyone is struggling in this macro-economic-political fiasco.
For partners, Cost Savings can be a way in. It has always been the Partner’s friend especially during economic uncertainty. Small businesses are drowning in subscriptions, increasing bills, slower sales, tariffs and more. How can you help them save money on tech? Or even better, how can they get more out of tech so they don’t have to hire another person?
If you offer TEM or WEM (telecom or wireless expense management), now would be the time to bang that drum.
A few more ideas:
- Reach out to customers who left!
- Network! Dust off your Elevator Pitch and go press some flesh.
- How does your Google Local Profile look?
- How about your LinkedIn profile? Have you reached out to your LI Network?
- Interview your customers for a blog or podcast.
