I received the spam, I mean email, you sent asking me to run a deal through Channel Standard.
“Here’s [Eric’s] ask: take a deal you’re working right now and run it through The Channel Standard.”
Take a deal and put it into my magic box. We don’t have a relationship. No contract. No idea what you will do with my deal or the info. But input it anyway?
You aren’t taking commission or charging a fee (yet), so I have to assume I am the Product.
Just like Facebook and other social sites that do not charge a fee, the User is the Product.
From this, I am unclear on what exactly using your website will even provide for me that I cannot already surmise on my own through my TSD or my peer group or 25 years of experience or Perplexity.
“Here’s what happens when you do: you drop in the company name or their website. The platform enriches the account, surfaces the solutions in play, and walks you through the qualifying questions. Then it scores the suppliers that fit, across the TSDs you already work with, and puts them side by side on one screen. Every score shows its reasoning. When you’ve chosen, you send the introductions right there, with the deal context attached, so the supplier shows up already understanding the deal.”
Clear as mud.
[Most likely, the one deal is to train the system more and add more data. Supposedly, 20 partners used it today. My peer group was wondering who would use it / who the target was. I have to assume it is just friends of the founders.]
